I'll have to give it a try - not being able to mock private and final methods has been a huge pain for us to date, and also a more elegant solution to mocking static methods than JMockit is much desired.hbchaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14841286951682234975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15045980.post-51889426601752594352008-11-13T08:56:00.000-08:002008-11-13T08:56:00.000-08:00Wow, thanks for this amazing tool!!! I've already added this to my social engineering "toolkit"! ;)hbchaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14841286951682234975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15045980.post-23084042903776840232008-11-04T04:50:00.000-08:002008-11-04T04:50:00.000-08:00I have developed an open source framework that inc...I have developed an open source framework that increases the testability of Java code. Our aim is to give developers more choice when doing design and not forcing them to considering testability.

I don't think testability is always a good thing. Sometimes the developer has to break encapsulation or use DI just to allow a component to be testable. Of course, there are cases where good testability leads to good design, but not always.

PowerMock allows mocking of static/private/final methods, mocking constructors, bypass encapsulation and suppress unwanted behavior such as constructors or static initializers.

Have a look here and let me know what you think!

http://code.google.com/p/powermock/Jan Kronquisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10645866363358022327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15045980.post-35454773476882580202008-10-27T21:45:00.000-07:002008-10-27T21:45:00.000-07:00You know there is this cool search engine which wi...You know there is this cool search engine which will answer that question. :-)

http://code.google.com/p/testability-explorer/Miskohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00208649366420512257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15045980.post-41680857270429327052008-10-27T18:19:00.000-07:002008-10-27T18:19:00.000-07:00where can I download a copy of the Testability Exp...where can I download a copy of the Testability Explorer? :)Bailey W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16587389562168313549noreply@blogger.com
